Summer intern job description

 

Job title: Summer Intern

Job responsibilities: This position involves supporting ongoing
initiative with residents, patients and co-workers. Topics include assisting, assessing patient needs and their health. You are to assist the CNA's as needed such as; feeding, cleaning, and entertaining. This line of work may also include some research writing and analyzing patients.

 

Skill Prerequisites: The ideal candidate would be a student who has just graduated out of high school and entering into their freshmen year at a college/university. The candidate should have a nice academic record, outstanding organization, excellent communication skills, good listening skills, always willing to assist and support, must have a very open mind, outstanding writing skills, strong quantitative and computer skills, as well as computer familiarity. Most importantly, must have patience. You also
must be able to distinguish between patients who are coherent vs. incoherent.

 

Salary: This is a paid Internship



The following are the requirements that all prospective applicants must meet to become eligible for participation in the AGA College Internship program.  

  • Student must be between the ages of 17-23
  • Student must be enrolled in a College/University or attending school to become a CNA
  • Student must have an acceptance letter from an accredited institution
  • Student must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Student must maintain 12-15 credit hours per semester
  • Must be Drug-Free and willing to submit to a drug test and Background check
  • Must submit an up to date physical  
  • Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation
